MEDx Frequently Asked Questions - Graphics

Q: How do I edit a complex graphic I have created?

There may be instances where you will want to edit a complex graphic that you have created. Sometimes it is easiest to delete the graphic and redraw it. However, if you would like to modify (pixel by pixel) some part of the graphic, do the following:

  1. Create an roi with the pencil graphic

  2. Under the Graphic menu select "PathGraphic to Bitmap"

  3. Under the Graphic menu select "Outline Bitmap"

  4. In the toolbox, select the bitmap graphic (it is below the arrow)

  5. With the right mouse button, you can delete any pixels in the bitmap and with the left mouse button, you can add any pixels. Note that you can change the number of pixels placed from two at a time to one at a time by changing the Bitmap Cursor fields in the Window Properties dialog box found under the Display menu.

  6. If you are interested in editing pixels within the bitmap and not just on the outline, select Unseeded file and use the same editing techniques as in step (4)

  7. When you are done editing the bitmap, you can select Bitmap ToPathGraphic under the Graphic menu
