MEDx Frequently Asked Questions - Other

Q: How do I find the pixel intensity of individual voxels?

MEDx provides you with an option called the pixel reporting mode. You will observe that there are a row icons on the top of your folder. Clicking on the second icon from the left (the one with designs on it) will turn it into a box of squares. Your arrow will now turn into a box. Now clicking on any voxel with the left mouse button will report the pixel/voxel values with the coordinates just below the row of icons.

The values at the top of the lightbox indicate the x, y, z values of the pixels = the pixel value.

So, if you get the following number on top of the light box:

61.250, 40.000, 27.000 pixels(or mm) = 2500

This means that the voxel at coordinate x=61.250, y=40, z=27 has a value of 2500.
