MEDx Frequently Asked Questions - Input/Output
Q: Why do my Siemens images load out of order, and what can I do
about it?
The naming convention for these type of images includes numbers which
do not sort lexically. This can be corrected by running the tcl script
"RenameSiemens.tcl". This script is provided with the MEDx distribution
and lives in the "$PXHOME"/tcl directory. Run this script from the MEDx
main menu. From within the File menu select ImageScript Execution.
When the ImageScript Execution window appears, enter the path of
the RenameSiemens.tcl script, within the space provided. Press the Apply
button.
The script will provide the user with a widget to input the path of
where the Siemens images live. It will then check to make sure that these
files exist and that they have not been zero padded, already before performing
the zero padding procedure on the images. This procdeure will ensure that
these images are read into MEDx properly by renaming the files. After
which the files will sort lexically.
