Q: How do I read Varian data?

Run the script called ReadVarian.tcl in the $PXHOME/tcl directory.

This will bring up a widget asking you for the directory where the data resides and the slice thickness. It will then proceed to read the header, open the images, compose a volume and set the properties. This reader will work for only one volume at a time. In the specified directory, slices corresponding to only one volume should be present.

Presently the reader assumes that the measurements in the header are always
in 'cm,' which has been the case with the different Varian data sets we have
observed. If this changes, please contact us and we can modify the script for you.
