Q:Why do I get an error message referring to “setting of DISPLAY
variable” when I try to start MEDx ?
This is probably because you do not have X running. MEDx needs to be
run from a
desktop environment like for example CDE. On the newer Solaris machines
thi should come up by default when you log in.
On Linux machines you can type in
% startx
Once this is done you should be able to run MEDx from a terminal within
this.
