MEDx Frequently Asked Questions - MEDx Configuration

Q: Why does MEDx give me an error saying that there is very low paging space and swap space?

There could be various reasons as to why this may be happening:

  1. You could be really running out of swap on your system due to the fact that you are reaching the ends of your system resources.

  2. Your page file directory might be getting full or might not have enough space and you might want to change it to a different location - see FAQ

  3. If you are running MEDx 3.2 on a RedHat6.0 system then there was a compatibility problem with one of our system files, namely the file called sysmon in the bin directory of MEDx. Please contact medxsupport@medicalnumerics.com for a revised version of this file. If you have MEDx 3.3 running, then simply use the sysmon file available with MEDx 3.3.
